76. Zero Tolerance

I've known a number of people who, like Lara, interpret spoken declarations of intent as something I truly intend to do, and a number of people who assume that such a statement is merely something I may consider doing if i feel like it. I'm in the former camp, myself, and it's profoundly annoying when trying to make a plan with someone in the latter camp. It can be difficult to be understanding about it, but it's usually just a matter of where different people fall on the continuum of thinking-out-loud; some process thoughts out loud from their starting point, some process them internally and voice them only when fully formed. Still. Mean what you say, people.
