70. Abject Failure
It's a nerd two-fer: You got your baseball geek reference to
the worst General Manager of all time, plus a paraphrase
from Superman II.
The two Division Series I went into the postseason really caring about were Giants/Reds and Orioles/Yankees, and neither started out very well. Maybe by the time this gets posted they'll look better, but I'm not holding my breath. One I didn't care much about initially is the Oakland-Detroit matchup — I went into that one with neutral rooting interest, but within a few innings I found myself 100% on board with the Tigers. The A's are a great story this year, but I just find the Tigers more likeable. Plus, they have a great park, and the Oakland Coliseum is a pile of junk.

Yuck. Benny's got sick tastes. As for me, I'd kneel before Mariano Rivera any day. Or David Freese (see, I can have a man-crush on non-Yankees...)
Rodriguez might not be the best idol, but “Kneel before Rivera” doesn't rhyme. :)
