47. No Middle Ground

When Ichiro was traded to the Yankees this week, it was hailed by some and condemned by others. You love this or hate it.

I'm personally sorry to see him go, especially to the Yankees, and wish that he'd been one of those iconic players that stayed with one team for his entire MLB career. They're rare in the modern game.

From the business standpoint, losing Ichiro also removes Seattle's status as Japan's MLB team; that's been on the wane for years anyway, but now it's gone entirely. From a PR and marketing point of view, you have to think this is crushing...

Nicely done strip! The sad thing is that you could've had this in the can for years and it would've been usable eventually.
